Elinos Anders Anderson was born on March 20, 1780 in Rödeby, Blekinge, Sweden to Anders Andersson and Johanna (Jönsdotter) Andersson.  The county of Blekinge is in the southeast region of Sweden and is known as the Garden of Sweden.  The name Blekinge comes from the word ‘blek,’ which means ‘calm,’ and it is probably the sometimes glassy fjords of the coastline that have given Blekinge its name.  Elinos married Margit Andersdotter, and they had three children: Matts (1815-?), Karin (1819-?), and Elinos Olaf (1832-1892).
